MEDICAL PEDICURE
What is a Medical Pedicure?
MEDICAL pedicure deals with the problem of feet, such as, ingrown and fungal nails, fingerprints and corns, ragade, excessively horny skin, warts, etc. Medical pedicure can therefore only be performed by a professionally qualified person.
It is a preventive, therapeutic or even rehabilitative care of healthy or already injured feet, while a classic pedicure treats only healthy feet.
It is recommended that medical pedicure be performed only by a professionally qualified person (certified pedicurist). We also recommend that people with diabetes (diabetes) leave the care of the feet to a pedicurist who has completed all the necessary training in the treatment of diabetic foot.

PEDICARE ADVISES
What should we pay attention to when we go for a medical pedicure or a pedicurist visits us at home?
To safely solve the problem of feet and effectively remedy your problems, the implementation of medical pedicure requires, above all, expertise and sterile instruments.
Namely, it often happens that we have the first FREE check- up, which we offer to all people, regardless of age, it happens that the client suspects a fungal infection in the pedicurist who visited. The latter allegedly used a tool that he had previously used with other clients and was not sterile. The best treatment result can be provided by a professionally qualified person only with the high standards of sterility provided by autoclave sterilization procedures. Only in this way are you safe from infections with microorganisms.
What do our customers think?
The daughters did an ingrown toenail repair with a staple! Professionally .. Painless .. and of course successful .. Very pleased and happy with the kindness of Mrs. Tine.
That day when I had a pedicure I spent in a trance because I was scared and I knew how much it was going to hurt. I have been speaking for three months now and the results are already visible. I am very happy when I step in I don’t feel any pain.
I have to commend you for doing a really good job. I’ve been to three doctors, and none have done anything but advice to cool down and disinfect. I had severe pain for over a month. Now, barely 24 hours after your procedure, I barely know there’s anything wrong with my finger.
Frequently Asked Questions
A medical pedicure takes place with the client seated in a special chair. This enables the client to relax in an elevated position with their legs extended for the length of the treatment. Just as at the dentist, the pedicurist has their own set of instruments which not only reduces the time required but also ensures a pain free treatment.
A person reaches their final height around 20, but hair and nails continue to grow throughout their life. Toe nails grow at the rate of 1.5 to 1.8 mm per month, which is four times slower than finger nails. The speed of growth depends on age, season of the year, physical activity, blood flow, hormones, illnesses as well as other factors.
How we treat our feet plays an important role in the quality of life so it is advisable to visit the pedicurist every 4-5 weeks, or depending on each individual’s case.
Professional advice is an essential part of a pedicure as the pedicurist can give advice based on their own experience and the most up to date methods and treatments. Likewise, advice on suitable products for nail care (creams, sprays, ointments, tips on foot care).
To safely rectify foot complaints, it is very important to have both professional knowledge and sterile instruments.
We offer all our clients an initial free consultation and no matter their age, clients quite often believe their problems with fungus nails started after a pedicure. They believe the pedicurist used the same instruments that were used with the previous client and did not sterilise them beforehand. The best treatment results can only be achieved by a qualified professional pedicurist with a high standard of sterility achieved by the use of a…. This is the only way to prevent micro-organism infections.
- Check feet on a regular basis. If you have damaged nerves or veins this should be on a daily basis. This is easiest after a shower when we dry our feet or before putting on our socks. Don’t forget to check between the toes and use a mirror to help check the soles of your feet.
- Wash your feet with warm flowing water and mild soap. Check the temperature with your hand if you have sensitive feet and be careful not to get open wounds wet.
- Dry your feet with a soft towel paying attention to between the toes.
- Massage your feet with a neutral moisturizer or other cream but not between the toes.
- Wear clean socks and comfortable shoes. Always buy shoes in the afternoon so that you have been on your feet for some time – feet are usually smaller in the morning. The inside of the shoe should be smooth soft leather and socks should be without rough stitches.
- If you have swollen feet wear laced shoes or shoes with Velcro fasteners so you can adjust the fitting.
- If you are prone to cold feet wear warm socks, even at night if necessary. Don’t warm your feet with heated cushions or other heated devices as you could very easily burn yourself without knowing.
- Trim your nails so that they are level with the edge of toe especially if you have pain to the touch and always wear shoes that fit correctly.
- Don’t walk barefoot if you lack sensitivity in your feet.
- Before you put your shoes on feel inside the shoe to make sure there are no sharp objects and check that your socks are not wrinkled.
